It's difficult to contemplate the process of evolution; its scale is visible over tens and hundreds of years. A small step the length of a human lifespan. Yet, evolution is happening right now, before our eyes. Significant changes in development consist of a vast number of seconds, each a microparticle of these changes. What if we slow down, relax our minds, and begin to contemplate? While we observe evolution, evolution observes us. Every second, here and now. While we look at the lake, the lake looks back at us. And so we have been looking at each other for all these billions of years..
